Thread: Rent-A-Hero No. 1

  1. Jeremy, just out of curiosity... are you also a fan of the German PC adventure game Rent A Hero? Since that's what your avatar image is the logo of. ;p

  2. Nope, never played it. I found the logo via a Google search, liked it, and decided to use it.

  3. Gotta love the engrish

  4. It looks interesting, it won't light the world on fire or anything but if it is decently priced (like $30 or less), it could be a decent purchase.

  5. Well, I was about ready to import this game for the DC even with the language barrier, so 45 is a steal to me.

It's too bad more people won't pick it up though because the price point is pretty high for an odd title like this one.

  6. It'll drop to $30 or so pretty quickly. Plus, there is a chance that the price will be dropped in the near future, before the release. Roufoss, I'm in the same boat as you. I was looking to buy the DC one, and use FAQs to navigate through. Now, I won't have to.

  7. Well, I usually do wait for games to drop, but like I said earlier, I was expecting to pay at least 60 for this in japanese, so 45 in english is a bargain already.

  8. True, plus there is additional stuff in this game that wasn't in the DC version, and some slightly revamped graphics as well.

  9. I am really suprised this is coming over to the U.S., and for the Xbox. I think the graphics will turn off the hardcorp Xbox folk and the price (if it stays at $45) will turn off others. I will more than likely purchase it because I love interesting and quirky games. I hope they do a quality job on the Translation to keep whatever jokes and such intact, lets hope its not rushed.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  10. From what I've seen, and heard about the translation so far, none of the quirkiness is lost, and some of the jokes, like the Seca Creamcast, are still in.
