i never saw what was so great about this game. i picked it up based on many gamers' recommendation, but was completely disappointed. sure, the mode 7 effect is pretty cool, but the game is pretty easy, the ship felt kinda heavy, and there wasn't much flow to it.

Very fun...I loved it.
Freedom is a road seldom travelled by the multitude...
Exactly. I think the reason is that not as many people played space megaforce/ super aleste.Originally posted by StriderKyo
I'd like this game alot better if people weren't always saying it's better than Space Megaforce.
I preferred Macross Scrambled Valkyrie to Space Megaforce. I just didn't see what was so great about SM. Maybe it was just me.

The unforgettable music? (I still hum it to this day) The vibrant graphics? The insane powerups? The last boss? The evil manic difficulty when you set it to that mode where every dead enemy fires a last shot at you? What wasn't so great about SMF?Originally posted by Lordmrw

You could always get the SPC decoder for winamp and download the rom to hear it... Or hell, you could dump it to .wav yourself and re-encode it into a mp3 for your listening pleasures.
