Good question. I don't think I have an answer.

SPC Decoder? How does one get this? Also, how do you change it to from wav. to mp3?

  3. I got my spc player from www.zophar.net
I got my wav to mp3 convertor from the Direct Sound for QB library, but you can find something else for it at www.downloads.com fairly quickly.

The best thing about Space Megaforce was the "presented by Toho" line in the beginning. Or at least, thats the first thing to come to my head.

Rezo, I might contact you by AIM for a walkthrough, if you don't mind?

    Sometime later this evening.

I used to own Space Megaforce. I bought it after reading so much hype about it.

I was so underwhelmed when I played it. Uninspiring tunes, so-so graphics, so-so gameplay. The best thing about it was the weapon upgrade system.

I feel it's one of the most overrated games on the SNES.

I hope Axelay is a better gaming experience than SM was.

It can't be helped. Lots of games are better than Space Megaforce.

I don't know if I'll be on come evening, so

here's the page for the spc winamp plugin.. I use SNESamp myself.

and here's the section with the spc files.

the program I use for wavs 2 mp3s is for DOS so you'd be better off finding something else.

If I am on though, feel free to drop a line on AIM.

    now I go to sleep.

If it weren't for the 'manic' generation of shooters, this game would still be on the top.

Axelay, UN Squadron, Gaires, Zero Wing and many of these other 16 bit shooters have not aged well. Shooters, RPG's, Racers, and Run and Gun games were done much better in the 32 bit era.

  9. Axelay is great.

One of my fave snes games.

Disagree strongly on the shooters. Most of my faves are from the 16-bit days, and UN Squadron is one of them. I don't like the vertical formats and clouds of bullets that flood most modern shooters. Pre-manic shooters are almost a different genre, and I like them better.
