In my search for videogames often times I'll come across old boxed PC games at the Goodwill, bookstore, etc and wondered if these hold any sort of value, along the lines of some vintage video games. I'm speaking mostly of Amiga, IBM, Commodore 64 stuff, Apple like Adventure games, Police Quest, Euro games etc. Most can be had for a few bucks. I don't have the means to play these but would consider picking some up for trading/selling purposes. I suppose the secondary market for PC games is somehat different. Any Holy grails or gems PC wise to look for?

Since many older PC games are now freeware, I'm gonna say no. Couldn't hurt to try selling them at yard sales. Just put a bit RARE!!!! sign near them.

That's F-A-L-L-O-U-T. Available for the PC, probably about...oh...6 or 7 years old (double check) 1997. Interplay, you can still find it in many software stores in a 2 disc set with Fallout 2.
The game is one of the all time coolest RPG's, it's funny and violent and totally non-linear (so non-linear that if you're half decent, you destroy the first 40% of the second game because you know if you max out your strength, head south and do some quick talking you can equip yourself with some uber-power weapons and armor for which you will rain hell and destruction upon the wastes...at least for the first half of the game).
I've beaten the first one, about...5 or 6 times and while the game, on a whole is the same, there's a ton of minor differences that you experience depending on your stats and what you do (in the second one there's even differences depending on your sex).
Game is awesome, you may be able to find it dirt cheap around. If you can't, still drag your ass over to an electronics store and pick it up. It's only $10 (side note, Interplay also has Grim Fandango in such a pack, solid pick up as well).

Fallout IS an older PC game... Blaine is just letting the original poster to look out for the game, jeeze louise, people are touchy these days.
