Thread: Double Dragon 3

  1. Double Dragon 3

what the hell happened here?! ok, so this clearly isn't anywhere near as good as Arcade and NES 1&2, but the game does have it's good things, but nothing that has to do with gameplay, just little funny things here and there. some characters, the story, and some of the names of the stores (Power Records).
running across the whole level is pretty cool, especially since some characters have some funny running animations.

this game is worth playing for a good laugh if you ask me.

  2. I had this game for Genesis and threw it in the trash. What a horrible piece of crap.

A putrid, smelly stain on the name of Double Dragon.

I haven't played it since it came out but I remember it sucking pretty bad. I should check it out on MAME to see that funny stuff I don't remember. There was so much cheesy stuff back then I probably didn't notice it.

  4. i beat the nes version, but overall it was nowhere as good at the first 2, it was then that the double dragosn jsut got silly and were being whored out for lame game plots rather than just being a pair of martial arts masters/vigellanties(i definitly misspelled that one). some of the characters were cool in their own way, i recall the little chinese fellow just murdered with his hand strikes, and the ninja was cool with his sword, but i play double dragons to curb the urban criminal populice, not to off mummies.

The Genesis one is a port of the arcade game but the NES one isn't.

  7. the nes version is about 12789357 times better than the arcade. still not as good as double dragon 2, though.

  8. Diff Technos team made this one. Big mistake. Wanna pay a quarter to use a weapon? Ok.

A piece of shit that deserves to be forgotten. The NES DD3 was good but still not up to par. Far better than this though.

  9. I remember getting pissed off that my local mom and pop store got rid of the first Turtles arcade game for this one. It only stayed in there for about a month before they got something else. When I saw that you had to put another quarter in it for just about everything, I flipped out. I mean damn, I know that's what arcade games are for, but christ, can you be any less obvious about it?

  10. I really enjoyed the NES version.

Never played the arcade rev though.

(the flip over them and chuck 'em by the hair move was sweet)
