Dumb And Dumberer

I have been looking forward to this movie for quite some time now that is until I found out that Jim Carey and Jeef Daniels will not be in it. Then I saw the trailer for it and that lowered my hopes even more. JC and JD are what made Dumb and Dumber and I can't begin to comprehend anyone in their places. It looks like it is going to be another terrible teen movie and I shudder at the thought that a movie with such great potential is going to waste.
The movie looks like a piece of crap and should never see the light of day. What are your thoughts on this?

I saw the trailer. It looks AWFUL. I didn't laugh once. While I was watching it... I was like... "this can't be from the same people that made the first one!".

edit: Seems like I was right. A search on IMDB showed that this is from the same director which made the worst movie Ive ever seen, Jack Frost (the Michael Keaton one where he becomes a snowman).

Furthermore, no less than six people have writing credits (never a good sign). None of the writers have any experience on film, just some tv shows.

Well the first one wasn't that great anyways, I prefer the Ace Venture role. Will this one takes place in High School and shows how these two became buddies. Yeah it's never a good sign when the original cast doesn't reprise their roles for a prequel or sequel.

The one dude kinda looks like Jim Carey though.

the guy who plays young jeff daniels looks creepy. This movie will be garbage, the only reason another Dumb and dumber movie should have ever been made is if both the original actors wanted to do it.

Wow, so it's a sequel in name only? Count me out. The orignal flick can be quite a blast, but I can't see the sequel doing anything but sucking.

Sorry if I'm late to the party, but, damn. It's not like I had high hopes for this movie, but I was hoping for another goofy Jim Carey movie. Oh well, at least there is Bruce Almighty to look forward to.
