Hmm, I dont think we can count The Thing, Army of Darkness or Full Metal Jacket as an action films. LOTR and Appocalypse Now too.

Your definition of Action seems a bit broad, as some would fall in the Horror, Sci-Fi, Drama category, but overall a good list.

The problem with a lot of these is that the category is too broad...I mean almost every film could be titled action, but we need a clearer definition of the term action. Like for instance I would say the Indiana Jones films are adventure or action adventure whereas Full Metal Jacket would be war, LOTR would be fantasy, etc...
