Well, the situation on the jet was a bit extreme- Rouge had just gotten sucked out of the plane and was falling to her death. I think he more or less acted without thinking when he teleported to save her because deep down he's a kind-hearted person. But when Storm asked him to teleport into the chamber near the end of the movie, he had a chance to think about it and weigh the dangers beforehand.Originally posted by negitoro
He's still teleporting blind. He could teleport into another person or another object. Basically, if it was a big enough problem to warrant doing the cheesy dialogue with Storm, it should be enough to keep him from teleporting blind anywhere.

well, the thing with the jet is that he's already been inside the jet, so it wasn't a problem to find his way back into it, from the other dimension. if he's been somewhere before, he has no problem going back there, blind or not.
however, when he was outside the cerebro room, he had no idea what was on the other side of the door or how thick the door was.

Does he do it with momentum or not?
He can't port and be at 0, and then port and return at 600 MPH or whatever, the speed of the moving plane.
I guess they don't have Physics in the Munich Circus.
And it's not my fault that it's Rouge not Pyro, the action was too sketchy and shitty to see.

They spent enough time setting up the idea that Rouge couldn't buckle her safety harness on the jet.

Rogue is in a plane going 600MPH. She falls out, and is going that speed, plus gravity, just as if you stepped out of your car on the freeway, you are going 65MPH.
Either his teleports absorb velocity or they don't.
If it doesn't absorb velocity, he strikes, overshoots, etc. Rogue @ 600 mph...
If it does absorb velocity, then he arrives with rogue plummeting at a hellish rate of speed so a. he has to be quick enough (and gentle enough) to grab her without harming himself or her and b. teleport back to the plane...at zero mph.
