They changed it to X-Men:United because the producers thought that not many people would know what X2 was.

Wasn't this rumor debunked? "United" is just a word on the poster and X2 is just the abbreviation of the movie. It's just called X-men 2.

I can't speak to the veracity of the rumor of retaining Magneto's powers, aside from to say that according to how her power works in the comics, Magneto would be dead if that were true... but the hair streak didn't come from Magneto, it came from the mutation machine sucking her life force.

I really want Colossus and Juggernaut in one of these movies. I watch the cartoon of this show and it is amazing as well.

Quicksilver makes an amazing enemy when he turns on the Brotherhood of Mutants and the X-Men (who team up to take on Magneto, Sabretooth, Pyro, Colossus, and Gambit) and joins his father; Magneto.

Juggernaut was always so bad ass, and he could only be beaten by amnesia.

BTW, this movie looks amazing. Ticket sales +2.

Well this rumor was a while back so I can't really say if there's any truth to it seeing as how I haven't seen it in the trailers or the film yet. But the odd thing is, in the comics she's had that white skunk stripe all along. I guess the film makers thought she had to 'earn' it or something which is kind of lame because it was always standout feature.

You're probably right about the life draining thing causing the stripe. I saw the movie like a hundred times and I always thought that when she absorbed Magneto's power(which in fact nearly did kill him since he was severly weakened), when she was being drained from the machine it brought up her most recently absorbed power and caused her hair to stripe due to Magneto's grey hair or something.

If I were the writers I'd make the absorption process, like the machine, be of life force that would store up and act as a battery for her other secondary mutation like flight, super strength, and invulnerability.

It would definitely take a load off the whole Warbird/Marvel Girl convolution from the comics while keeping the double edge sword of using someone else's life force to gain a better power. Anwyays I can't wait to see the movie as its quickly approaching.
