The thing I don't understand about the alternate hospital ending is why they are promoting it to make you "not sleep for weeks?" There's nothing scary or disturbing about that... at all.
But the way it shot, all you can see her swinging in frenzy. Its a violent scene, but its more of implied violence, where you imagine more than what you actually see.

Its called HYPE. They are trying ot attract more people to see it again, to generate more revenue. The promises of unsettling new ending that will make you sleepless for days is just a tag line to get your ass in the theater.

The only time gore has ever made me feel physically sick was in Evil Dead, when the guy cops the pencil to the ankle. ugh, just thinking about it makes me feel urked...
Well, I do remember a glimpse of arm being hacked off, now since you mentioned it. Still the way majority of the attacks were filmed, you couldnt see much of the details. Not to say it was done badly, not at all.
I hate it when they do that *looks at Brazil*Originally Posted by Takumi

I never saw The Omega Man, but this had Dawn of the Dead written all over it.
Well, I saw all the alternative endings on dvd, and I think "happy" ending worked the best out of 3, even though it didnt suit the way the storyline worked.
I haven't gotten around to seeing the alternate ending yet (there's actually a long story attached to that, but I won't bore you), but I was kind of upset with the first ending because there was alot of foreshadowing and symbolism that hinted to their death.
"Happy" endings are usually appropriate, but I didn't find it so in this case. *shrug*
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
I really dug this. I don't usually like horror movies because they usually try to be over-the-top to the point of being silly and campy, but this thing was gritty and scary. I was impressed. Best Zombie flick ever.

And I really don't see what was wrong with the last half of the movie, I thought it was pretty cool![]()
I still sort of would have liked to see George Romero's Resident Evil, even though apparently Paul Anderson did a good enough job.
