I think you really wanted the ripples in the water to be the main focus, but the action lines from the trees and the bank of the creek, sortof say to me, " Look at the far end of the creek". I think, humbly, that picture would be FUCKING AWSOME if the horrizon of the creek was in the center of the shot, using the trees and the creek bank to direct the eye to the center of the image. Not that it isn't fucking awsome, just my opinion.
    Killer pics though.

Mrs. Cleo: "Is there a gentleman in your life?"
    Caller: "Yes."
    Mrs. Cleo: "Is he incarcerated?"
    Caller: "Yes."
Mrs. Cleo: "Yea, him your baby's daddy."

Thanks for the words. I played around with that pic a lot, trying different cropping methods and what not. I'll check out my HDD and see if I have one where the horizon is the focal point, and if not I'll make one. Look for it soon.

    ONE YEAR LATER!!!
I finally got around to scanning this shit, what a lazy ass I am. Anyway, these pics were taken last year over the course of a few hours in NYC, I was literally wandering around the city aimlessly in an attempt to find interesting things within a time limit. I started in Chelsea, made it to 55th street or so then ran back from there in order to catch my bus, the color pictures were all taken whilst I was fleeing back to where I started. Oh, and scanning negatives takes an eternity:

  6. A lot of excellent photos in there, but 'library1' is probably my favourite. Very classy shot.

  7. "Street Scene" and "Going out of business" are great. Nice photos Regus.

  8. Never knew about this thread. Very awesome stuff posted so far. I'm not really big into photography, but I do enjoy taking decent pictures.

I only have a Kodak Easyshare camera, so forgive the quality of my pics. They also had to be shrunk down to fit, which sucked as well. I have about 15, so I guess I'll make three posts.

First one was taken off a buddy's balcony. He lives in North Hollywood. I took it with no flash and I think it was like a 1 second exposure.

The second one surprised me since I took it from the airplane.

The third one is up in (I think) West Beverly. The cars are crossing on Sunset, I know that much.

Fourth is a shot down the street my parents' house is on. Nothing special.

The fifth is a picture I'm really proud of. It's my girlfriend and the sunlight just hit everything perfectly. Definitely one of the best pictures my camera has taken.

Okay, so here's the next set.

    1) Snow on cars in the parking lot at work.
    2) Kitty hoping for outdoor adventures.
    3) God bless America. I like how this pic came out. Really vivid colors.
    4) This is another of my favorites, down at the beach. Came out really well.
    5) A classic car in Torrance.

Ahh, it looks like it's combining them all. Last set, I promise.

    1) Friendly birds that got really close to eat rice.
    2) The colors here are phenomenal. This is the pier at Huntington Beach. I love how this one came out.
    3) Damned thing didn't even move when I got close.
    4) A really colorful place in Oxnard, California.
    5) This is my hands-down favorite of all my pictures. This flower was beautiful and I think I was able to capture it on flash memory.

Bigger images are up on my site, but if anyone would like to see the full size originals (I think the originals are like 300dpi and 2,000x1400 pixels let me know. I'm just guessing on the size and resolution, though.

EDIT: I'm stupid and forgot to attach the images.

  9. Perfect.

Here are some shots of the cherry blossoms.

  10. Mike- That one of your girlfriend is really nice. You should get a nice print and frame it or something. I also like the flower, just because it's so bright.

7f- Nice. Take some more! I love cherry blossoms.
