Stadium Seating - The Best way to view a Movie!

I dunno how comman this is for you guys but I love the Stadium seating. It makes seeing a Movie a much more enjoyable time. No Heavyset Women blocking your view, it's perfect. I wish more theatres had this. You might pay a bit more but it's well worth it. It sounds better too.

So anyone dig the Stadium seating?

Yes, those stadium seats are amazing but I kind of wish there was at least one theater in my area with the old types of seats just for nastalgia.

Stadium seating is awesome... but the drawback is that the theaters accomodate less people not to mention the back seats feel really far away since you're not just further back but higher up.

I concur, stadium seating is really the only way they'll get me in a theater now. I went and saw a movie at a Famous Players (Canadian theatre chain), and unlike our local hole-in-the-wall blurry-as-hell theater they had nice new equipment, dolby dts audio and stadium seating. I was totally blown out of the water.


I'm quite glad they opened a new theater here featuring all those goodies. Now I won't need to take a 2 hour drive to see Matrix Reloaded.

Yeah its totally awesome. My local cinema (one I never goto btw) has 2 cinemas, and one of them has the old seating, which is pretty crap.

The one thing wrong with stadium seating is that its much easier for retards to throw popcorn at you (though I'm more often than not the retard).

we got a cinemark tinseltown (17 theatres) about 4 years ago which was supposed to have stadium seating. they got cheap and gave us regular seats. now they just converted them but ive noticed that they didnt adjust the heating system to the new seats. if your sitting low youll get the usual theatre chills and feel the AC, but if you're high you're going to sweat your ass off. so ive learned to sit low on dates all in all i love them tho.

I agree with you on preferences of Stadium seating. I remember when the only theater that I around me was the regular level one, and when someone tall would seat right in front of you blocking the screen was really driving me nuts.

Stadium seating is pretty common nowadays.

Best way to view a movie is in the center rows, both armrests available, no one blocking your view in the front and/or kicking your seat in the back.

The closest theater to me has regular seating while one a few min further away has stadium. I drive the extra way for the stadium, and it's cheaper for students.
