Earlier? Actually it used to always fall around the week of the 10, or as late as the 15, but it's definitely not earlier. Last year however, it was, for some hokey reason (fiscal stuff, or whateva). anyways, it also conflicted with ECC and a lot of people didn't show up to E3 or vice-versa.
