Thread: SSX 3

  1. I went with the PS2 version for the controls and have no regrets. This is a fantastic game by the way. The mountain is amazing.

no, i just dont have a ps2(wouldnt get that version anyhow, since everyone is saying thats the ugliest version). and thus far, i am getting less and less happy with the memory card on the x-box, the gc version, i can take my FULL saves anywhere, soul calibur 2 and kotor really ticked me off on that regard, that i couldnt take my saves to my friend's house to show off(or if i could, it certainly wasnt an option i noticed, and think i looked pretty thoroughly) so gc it is for me, besides, i had to buck the trend of everyone else here

  4. I'm going for the GC version. (Slightly) better graphics, and using the Wavebird means I don't have to pull out the PS2 from under the TV to use it everytime I want to play it. I had the GC version of tricky and had no problems with the controls. Does the PS2 version support Pro Logic II? GC games tend to sound better to me too.

  5. the ps2 version actually supports dts 4.0. no center channel or subwoofer, but it still sounds great.

  6. The Gamecube revolution! I'm picking this up tonight along with a twelvepack. Can't wait to tear up that mountain.

  7. All 3 versions are fine, although I admit it sucks that we lose a few moves due to the missing turbo button on the GC. But who gives a damn, the game doesn't lose any interest after such. So far, I'm at Peak 2.

No sub? What the fuck is the point!

  9. epmode,
Thanks for the info. Looks like it'll be the Ps2 version for me then.

  10. well, there's no dedicated sub channel. of course, it still plays low frequency sounds and all.. full 5.1 sound is quite a processor hit. i'm pretty sure that only the xbox version supports it.
