In all honesty, networking and a lot of persistence. As cliche as it sounds, it's all about "who you know...."

I started making myself more noticeable primarily when I attended E3. I've known a few people at IGN for awhile, so that's essentially where I made my first "gig". Max Bikini was also made available to me through another friend that I know in the industry. ^_^

...just to clarify. you want to edit other people's work? I don't edit, I just write.

One more fun fact about Ansonia:

Some of the most collectable antique clocks were made here. Do a search on Ansonia Clock Company.

  4. Write strategy guides.

Mostly though, I just play games. I'm happier that way

  5. I sell electronics at Sears. When I left at 3 PM, the combined sales total of all 4 sales people working the floor from 10-3 was.. $11.62.

If shit does not come together this weekend, I'm looking for another job as soon as possible.

I just want to write and edit freelance, either is good for me. But I've contacted a number of mags like Play, that new one from EB, and others and haven't gotten anywhere...I currently do freelance for ToyFare mag and that's so much fun so I want to do more stuff like that...if you end up hearing anything about writers or editors needed on a freelance basis, let me know--I can send you samples of my writing and a resume...I'm just trying to make a little extra money on the side and have fun at the same time...
