Thread: PSO - Ask me anything.....

  1. Yeah... even if only to play C-mode. Not enough people interested in playing for time.

  2. #92
w00t my intenet is back up to speed, i can go back on PSOX! yea i need to catch you guys before you are in the c-mode games. =(

  3. I'll likely be getting a new PSO disk next week so I'll be up for challenge then but since I can't do the forest til I get the new disk I cand even do C-mode, EN, or any of the other new modes or quests .

  4. Question...Is PSOX worth getting still? I was burnt out playing all versions up to GC for so many hours.

Maybe after I beat Disgaea and FFTA Ill pick it up.

  5. Question:

I played the Dc version to all get out back in the day, but now I recently got the GC version. Without Broadband or an adapter, I must settle for the offline quests...

How are the offline quests differents, especially the sub-quests, (playing episode 1 until I beat falz, if that info helps, I am like that)

I hear that you finally get a reward for telling sue your name, a chance at the ragol ring. also, I have found the Chao in "fake in yellow, but forgot to hook up the GBA and download the chao garden quest. now it is not in the lobby.

Plus, I went back to find the baby hildebear a third time, after Alicia Balz left me, is there anything I need to do with the moon atomozer he "gave" me, am I supposed to heal him, or heal someone else.

I am especially interested in sub quests, like the sue and bernie/soul eater quests. I am the completionist type.
Only you can stop sig pollution.

  6. OK, I've started the game again as a Fonewearl (PSO ver2 for DC, by the way).
I got a Dragon Frame with 4 slots -> me happy! I took DF head on with a Varista+9 +30% dark, I had a Status Maintenance slot, a general HP, and a Resist Saint slot. (the fourth slot was an Elf Arm- needed to equip the Varista)
Anyway, I got my ass handed on a plate. I can't understand why Grantz makes so much damage. I have 369 mind with 27 Holy defense. Why does the spell still deal over 255HP damage? My Hunewearl took 302HP damage with 254 mind and 20 Holy defense. My Humar took 325HP damage (19x mind and 20 Holy defense).
What really pisses me off is that I lost all my 4 Scape Dolls, although I only used one. Is there a trick or am I really forced into using 4 general HP slots?

Scary stuff indeed. I had fired up my old DC Copy awhile back and had messed with it as well.

Ok 1st off I'm not sure what level of diff you're playing outside of Hard, V-Hard or Ultimate. I would suggest that getting a solid pair of mechs if you're trying to take him down would be a good idea. You'll have low ATP as a FO but you should be able to manage if your levels are high enough.

Well you see Falz's grants is just very very strong so I would suggest pumping up your Light Defense to at least 40 to possibly take his Grants.

My Hunewearl took 302HP damage with 254 mind and 20 Holy defense. My Humar took 325HP damage (19x mind and 20 Holy defense).

It's more or less just natural resists of certain classes in Version 2. I should warn you tho that once you really work yourself into Ultimate, You won't be leaving the forest anytime soon until you can deal out solid damage to Bartles.

I would suggest you start hunting down RED WEAPONS Which provide a solid Level of attack power to take on what Ultimate will dish out. There are 7 Red Weapons which can be found such as. Red Handgun, Red Saber, Red Partisan, Red mechguns, Red Sword & Red Slicer.

Finally work on getting those materials and getting your stats boosted ASAP. btw I forget the rarity of it on Version 2 but if you can track down an Attribute Wall it will make your life a LOT easier to deal with seeing as tho the DFP isn't all that awesome but the element defense is solid.

    Good Luck.

btw to everyone else my X-Box Live tag is BonusKun

    Seeya soon.

  8. It was on Hard Mode, at level 43-44.
I beat him a while a go, actually. Found some better armor with four slots and "stupidly" placed 4 General HP. I lacked power, I lacked ATA, I lacked resistance, but I didn't care: I had enough HP to take on anything he dished out. After that, I only had to use MP for the occasional Resta.
I'm playing in Very Hard now, but I'm still at the Caves. That level is sooo long... gah.

  9. Here's a question:

How the hell do you unseal a J-sword?

I am totally sorry that I told everyone it is impossible. It was only impossible because of my testing methods.

Thanks to a friend of clara, I now know the right answer.

Kill 23,000 or more enemies using the Sealed J-Sword. After you do that, the Remove option becomes Use, like the other items that can change.

THIS WILL NOT WORK USING A HACKED SEALED J-SWORD - ONLY LEGITIMATE J-SWORDS CAN BE CONVERTED THIS WAY. (This is why I concluded it was impossible!)

I have a capture card so I can make a video of the 23000th kill and conversion to a Tsumikiri if you think it's necessary.

There are some bugs associated with this item.

    1. When you kill a monster with a Sealed J-Sword, other people in the team do not see the updated kill count. I recommend that, before giving or showing this item to another user, that you bank it then remove from bank.

    2. If as a result of #1, you see the kill count as 23000 or higher (able to convert) and other people don't, when you use it, other people will not see a Tsumikiri, and still see the Sealed J-Sword. After making a Tsumikiri, you should bank it and unbank it so everyone is synchronized.

Hard to believe that Sonic Team made 2 bugs on the same item! (The other bug is that you can't remove a Sealed J-Sword from a Present. Sonic Team "fixed" this in September by modifying Gallon's Shop to not let you wrap a Sealed J-Sword.)
