Isnt this game supposed to use the e-card function. Where you buy pso packs, and scan them into your game.. i recall ast year sonic team showed this off..

I do remember them saying something about linking four GC with the little attached screens to play the game or something.

How odd...
If anything, the e-Reader might work as a bonus or alternative to getting cards in the game normally. I don't see Sega making the Reader a required element to the game. But if you have a hard time finding that particular card or rare...I could see an e-Reader pack taking care of that. All speculation, mind you.
Now, is this based off the PSO graphical engine? If so, they're doing some new stuff with it...or maybe it's a reworked look. I can't place my finger on it.
I'm a Poke-card-playing-collectable whore, and a PSO fan, so I can't wait to see this.
