Thread: DDR Xbox Live

  1. 1) Stepmania

    2) Stepmania

    3) Stepmania

    4) Wow. Online rankings to see who can PA with the contoller the best. Uhh, do you even know what PA means?

    5) I hurt your feelings

    A) I guess I really did hurt your feelings
    B) Hate xbox? Not really. Hate Konami? You really don't know who you're dealin with.
    C) Temper temper!

I'm really sorry that you're so excited over a game and concept that you know absolutely nothing about. Lets see...how long have I been into DDR? Since 1999? How many tournaments have I ranked top 3 in? Shit, I don't even have a count for that. I also worked on Stepmania and know what its capable of. Hell, I am IN Stepmania. Before I left Stepmania was nearly at the point of being an exact replica of DDRExtreme. The only point in owning a home version at this point is to basically say "HEY I OWN THE REAL THING!" Wow!

You really do realize that all this is worthless considering that this game will never be released, right? Unless of course, Konami is really this stupid, and if it's coming from KoA then I assure you it is. KoJ wouldn't bother.

    4) Online rankings/scoring/competitions etc.

    5) You are an idiot.
    1) Xbox Live support means you can download songs from Konami. Not from anyone. Most likely Konami Originals that have been played to death like, oh, Midnite Blaze. Why is Konami going to license anything new for download when it won't increase their revenues any?

    2) Customizable dance steps? You mean like edit data? Like there's been for every DDR home version? Only with the power of X, obviously.

    3) Konami may be largely dumb, but they're not stupid. The ability to rip music and make your own steps would *kill* any hopes they have of selling any more home versions. So that's about as likely as people in Seattle letting go of the bar.

    4) Nowhere in any of the crap EBGames.com posted does it say "online play". Nowhere.

    5) Yes, anyone who says anything bad about a DDR game on the Xbox is an idiot. Suuuure.

Out of your 5 "points" (because only on the internet does calling someone an idiot count as a valid argument), only one is something that's confirmed and actually NEW for DDR Xbox - and that's downloadable songs, which no one has details about right now.

I'm sure I'm going to be called an idiot next, obviously.

You don't know that for a fact, and neither does anyone else.

  4. I PLAY STEPMANIA, I AM TEH HARDCORE!!1!

Nobody cares about stepmania, and eveybody will care about a DDR that is Xbox Live compatible. To say you don't care about this game just shows you are out of touch.

I dig it if you think nobody wants to own it, you are just wrong. Thats all.

    PS: I have no feelings.

I play DDR. Sadly, I play it a lot. I do that whole moderator thing over at DDRFreak. I *like* DDR.

But I don't like it enough to go drop $150 on an Xbox (by the time DDR Xbox comes out, anyhow), $50 for Xbox Live, $50 on the game, and however much more two converters would be for my pads.

Also, to say "Nobody cares about stepmania" just shows that you are REALLY out of touch. Especially since it was just ported to the Xbox. OOPS!

  7. Companring an underground homebrew to a commercial release that will topple it in distribution numbers is just silly.

I'm very impressed by all the leet hardcore going on, but still, most people will be excited about the game.

We shall see when the numbers are in, if the game ever comes out that is...

  8. PS: Yeah I went overboard and looked like an idiot, but that will happen to the best of us. My B.

I'm excited by it... even if it probably won't happen.
