WOW !!! It looks awesome. Battle scene shown in the trailer is very remeniscent of Saving Private Ryan, and just as BRUTAL. Its Extremely violent ! Heads being blown off, bodies tored to shread with bullets !

And the whole Highrise Building exploding at the end. Do you thing it will get US realse with THAT footage?

Well, At least its not DREADFUL Real format, most of japanese trailers use. At least it can be viewed more easily, without need to download and subscribe to REAL ONE player.

For ASX try to use ASF recorder program. It lets you record streamed movies, and save them as mpegs.

Plot summary:

"It's three years after the events of the original Battle Royale, and Shuya Nanahara (Tatsuya Fujiwara), one of the survivors, is now an internationally-known terrorist determined to bring down the government. His group, Wild Seven, consists largely of survivors of previous Battle Royales (or is it "Battles Royale"?), and have been successfully staging terrorist attacks for the past three years.

One year after a Christmas day attack that levels several buildings in Tokyo (including the twin towers of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building) and kills 8000 people is attributed to Wild Seven, the government enacts the "New Century Terrorist Counter-Measure Alternative" program, a.k.a. the BR2 act, and sends the forty-two students of Shikanotoride Junior High Class 3-B to hunt Nanahara and his cohorts down in their island stronghold. In order for the government to study the benefits of "teamwork," the new students work in pairs, with their collars electronically linked so that if one of them is killed, the other dies as well."

I read about that a while ago when the story came out and I immediately conjured up terrible images of some kid suffering mortal wounds and his partner desperately trying to stop him from dying... and failing anyway...

It's such a freaking sad and depressing image. *shudder*

US? You can only dream. As for eventual Japanese R2 release just pray that it will have English subs. Otherwise, we will have to wait for either HK, Korean or UK edition, or settle for boot with english subs.
