how can you seriously compare Counterstrike to Galaga. or Excitebike to The Secret of Mana. They're all good games but they're completely different.

The only way is to look at different criteria. For instance, on a Top 100 list, revolutionizing the genre or even the industry should be a must for a Top 20 game.

Their criteria for the chart is really not to my liking. I'd rather see a chart of the best 100 games now with age or 'revolutions in gaming' made irrelevent. Because I mean seriously, who the fuck would want to play Excitebike, Pitfall, Battlezone or Adventure in this day and age? I wouldn't touch those ten years ago, let alone now. Can't say I agree with all those old PC games either, most of them probably don't even run on an XP machine anyway.

Tetris will probably be #1. Deus Ex, TOOT,GTA3 and SoTN will probably be in the top 10.
