I had the PS2 game. It was a bit raw graphically but a good game no less. The last level was fucking crap IMO.
Otherwise the game rocked ass.
I missed the part where "porting" to the Xbox is difficult. The Xbox is just a lower middle range PC in a small box with no real function other than playing games. Right?
I don't see why every decent PC game can't be "ported" to the Xbox. It would almost eliminate the need for a PC dedicated strictly to gaming and potentially save Game Only PC users thousands of dollars ($199 for the damn OS alone). Throw in a mouse and keyboard with the Xbox bundle and (if my computer sucked much harder) I would seriously consider getting one.
Then again I use my computer for more than games and e-mail so I can justify the expense of rolling upgrades every year or so.
Oh and Halflife CS SuX0oR tEhh h W4nNGg!!1!![]()

Xbox Live- SamuraiMoogle
PC FPS games being ported to the Xbox? No fucking thanks.
half life on the ps2 WAS ass graphically. anyone who says otherwise never played it the way it was meant to be/looked on a PC.
Microsoft is definitely missing out on something here. The Xbox could function as a PC if MS wanted it to. They're trying to convince everyone that Xbox isn't a PC, though.Originally posted by Six

My only problem with Xbox ports is that they don't come out soon enough. I hope that'll change with Xbox 2. If the Xbox port of Half-Life 2 comes out around the same time as the PC version, then I'll seriously consider buying it for Xbox instead. I cared about mouse/keyboard control when I was playing competitive Quake in 1996, but I honestly don't give a shit anymore. If given the choice between uncomfortably hunching over a keyboard or sitting on the couch and playing on an HDTV, I choose the latter.
