It's got a sweet RPGish mode. I think it's actually more fun than the N64 game.
Mario Golf is by the same developer, and has the style rpg-style gameplay.

  2. Donkey Kong 94
    Kirbys Dream Land II
    Kirbys Star Stacker
    Tetris DX

I bet I can come up with more X_X
    Play Guitar Hero //

  3. Castlevania for GB was pretty sweet

  4. Except for the first one, the Castlevanias were really nice, great music too, for the GB.

Gargoyle's Quest is very good. Kirby's Pinball is classic. Final Fantasy Adventure is good.

I haven't played it, but Shantae on GBC is supposed very well done.

  5. Castlevania Legends seems like poo to me, but Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge has some of the best music EVAR and is pretty fun. Castlevania Adventure has great music too, but don't play it unless you're incapable of frustration. Revenge of the Gator is great, and I think it was HAL's first pinball game. Toki Tori is great great great great fun, and most of the time it seems like a GBA game, it looks so nice. Nemesis isn't the best Gradius out there, but it's pretty decent.

  6. Final Fantasy Legend II is very good... III isn't quite as good, but still fun

YES! You are right on the money man.

Thats all I can think of now

  10. I'm another supporter of the first two Castlevania Adventures on GB.

    I can't believe nobody's said Crystalis yet.

Portable R-Type (for those who don't own a Turbo Express or Master Geared Game Gear) is sweet too.

The first GB Gradius was well done.

    Nobunaga's Ambition, baby!

How nobody's mentioned Operation C is beyond me.

    Bonk's Adventure/Revenge, anyone?

Faceball 2000 - the original LAN fps!

Heiankyo Alien, for its pure unabashed weirdness.

    Kid Icarus. Duh.

    Tecmo Bowl - yeeyuh!

Nekketsu Koukou soccer bu (I forget the english name - world soccer fest or something)

Adventures of Lolo - a perfect portable game.

Tetris Attack - portable version of one of the best puzzlers ever.

Blaster Master: The Enemy Below!! Blaster Master rocks.

Daikatana - never played it, but there must be some comedic value there somewhere. I've heard it's actually better than the PC version - more of a Zelda/Metal Gear affair.

Shadowgate Classic/Returns - my favourite series of point & click puzzle solvers.

Klax - another personal favourite in the puzzle genre.

Magical Drop - who doesn't love Magical drop?

I'm sure there's tons more I didn't mention. I'm not a huge Game Boy fan or anything, but there was definitely a ton of great stuff over the years for fans of 8-bit games. While better versions of some of those games may exist on consoles, 1. - alot of them are on NES, and therefore not exactly reliable, and 2. - these are all portable.
