Because Tobal No. 1 bombed here. Tobal No. 2 was somewhat succesful in Japan, but apparantly not successful enough for Square to do another one.
I was checking out IGNs Top 100 and one game on the list so far was a game I totally forgot about and then it hit me..... why haven't we seen a Tobal 3?? Tobal 3 with online play could be great. You could have the multiplayer rpg and then you could have the online 1 on 1 fighting. Just a thought

Most of the key members of Dream Factory (the Square division responsible for the Tobal) has left the company since Tobal 2 and the people that are left has been making crap like Kakuto Chojin. Ouch! How the mighty has fallen.
An ellipses is only 3 periods long. Anything more is unnecessary...
JU got here and said what I was going to say. Rats. Even if they made the sequel, it could very well suck since the original team isn't working together anymore. So just let it go.
