Do the PCE emulators boot original copies? I'd like to own Dracula X as my only CD game

Here's some roms that work with MAME-X. I need to put more Sega roms, I have the Namco, Capcom, Taito and Konami ones I like. I hand picked these so let me know some that I should get (except Neo Geo, CPS2 and F3). Once they add point filtering to the emulator and sort out Taito F3 incompatility i'll dead chuffed.

i dont see why an emu would only boot copies and not originals.

Only recently have the Mega CD emulators been booting originals hence my question.

Yes they do. I myself used to use the Magic Engine to play Dracula X.

The xbox port of hugo doesn't play original discs, only magic engine for pc does.

Hugo doesn't handle wav audio, only mp3 tracks, so what u need to do is rip the game/audio tracks and make a cue sheet for it that hugo will recognize (u can do all this with nero or clonecd). You do have to do a little bit of work, but it's worth it. One advantage to the mp3 format is you can fit a whole lot of super cd games on one disc.

Umm... I've just been turning the system off (after picking save and end from inside the game of course)

I'll try exiting next time. I've still had no luck finding Hugo V7 though.

*edit* Turns out the only problem was that I forget to exit the game when I was done

you mean for the xbox emu's right? i was speaking solely for pc emu's which i assumed would be the same as the xbox emu's. my bad.

I've suddenly become quite interested in modding my Xbox. I'm sick of playing all these old-school console games on this PC. It doesn't feel right.

Just curious: Which mod chips are good? Preferably no soldering required, but I can manage.
