OK, so they're not really gashapon, as they're made by an american company, and you cannot get them in plastic capsule dispensers. Sue me!

I love toys! Of all sizes, makes, and genres. I love them. Especially the weird ones. So, needless to say, when I came across these in this month's issue of ToyFare:



I had to have them. This is freaking cool. The ToyFare in question (ish 70, for those of you who're counting) then goes on to say that you can get them online at Neca Toy's website for a measley $8.49 for the set.

I jumped right on that!

LIARS!!! Turns out, you can buy them at ToyWiz.com, and they sell for $27.99, excluding shipping.

I'm still going to buy them, damnit! And I hope all of you toy collecters will as well. They're too cool to pass up.

Well, yes. They just kindo of...stand there. They're really cool, though. Pluto would be my favorite. He's got a wind-up key in his back and everything.

"Gashapon" is the name for these cute little capsule toys. In Japan, as I'm sure you're well aware, capsule toy dispensers litter the country side. You can get characters from many different games, animes, and mangas for the cost of 100 yen. The word, "Gashapon," is actually onomatopoeia for the sound of the capsule dropping out of the machine.

So there you have it.

Turns out I was impatient. NECA has recently updated their website, wherein the Robot Mickey Mouse gang is an orderable item.

Here you can get a 6" Mickey, Minnie, or Goofy, and the 2" figures I have fallen so in love with are available as a set only.

Prices have yet to be listed.

Unfortunatly, they have yet to create an online ordering system for consumers outside of wholsale retailers.
