Kunoichi. PS2 Shinobi was a much deeper game than anything that Itigaki idiot has ever done, and Team Ninja's output over the last ten years has been poor. The Last Ninja will probably be a nice game though.

I voted other. Cuz there will be a Ninja Five-O 2. I demand it.

None of the above.
Overworks completely blew it with PS2 Shinobi. Adding (concealed) boobs does not make a game better.
Team Ninja has not made a single good game since they have been calling themselves Team Ninja.
If we expand the thread to include Samurai instead of just Ninjas, I'll take any one of Onimusha 3, Onimusha Buraiden, or Onimusha Tactics over all of the above.
The lack of votes for the Last Ninja is painful. And the Turtles also needs to be a choice in the poll.
Holy shit! I am ashamed to admit that I forgot about the heroes on a halfshell.Originally posted by xS

indeed.....another vote for the turtles.
Well, I liked Shinobi and thought it was a decent update to the original, so nyah!Originally posted by StriderKyo "So many times"? It was rumoured to be a PS2/Xbox game and then was announced as an Xbox exclusive. Exactly how much serious programming do you think had been done before that announcement (the middle of last year)? This isn't Silicon Knights trying to hack an N64 port. These guys have plenty of time, money and programming talent. And I'm sure most of it has been built from the ground up on existing Xbox engines they're using for Cronus or DOA4 anyway.
Again, DOA isn't a deep series or anything, but what exactly has been bad about anything TN's done?
The choronology of the new Ninja Gaiden:
1995- The game is announced for the PS1 after Ninja Gaiden Trilogy came out, but it never came to be.
1997 (or 98) - When TN added Ryu Hayabusa to the DOA series, Tecmo ordered the, to do a Ninja Gaiden sequel.
1999 - When the PS2 was first unveiled back in '99, Team Ninja sez there would be a new Ninja Gaiden game modeled after Tomb Raider with much simpler controls. A few years passed and Team Ninja went to produce DoA2 instead.
2001 - When Team Ninja suddenly became Microsoft's gimp, they decided to make Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox instead of PS2.
2002 - Ninja Gaiden is unveiled at E3 at the same time as Shinobi. A Tecmo represantive is later seen at Sega's booth taking notes. Ninja Gaiden is supiciously delayed until next year.
The thing that I don't like about TN is the fact that they pretty much made themselves successful by aping Sega (DoA = Virtua Fighter, DOA Xtreme Volleyball = Beach Spikers). The same could be said of Namco, but at least they made plenty of original stuff (such as the Soul Edge series, Klonoa) to make up for it.
I wish someone would bring back this ninja:

Right, because if anything validates the existance of a handheld piece of shit, it's taking those shitty handheld games and placing them on a screen big enough so that the inherent flaws of the software is visible to all humans. Including Ray Charles.
I liked Shinobi, and I thought it was better than all the previous games in that series put together, but it still didn't have much to do with them.Originally posted by Johnny Undaunted

Well, I don't think half of those are the same game as the one we're going to get. I think it's safe to assume they started over when they worked out the deal to have it Xbox exclusive - unless they really still think Tomb Ninja is an awesome idea in this day and age. As for last year's E3, who doesn't keep tabs on the competition? The choronology of the new Ninja Gaiden:

Tecmo tried original, but nobody bought Deception. They were dead in the water until TN bailed them out with DoA2, so I can't really blame them for going with what worked. The thing that I don't like about TN is the fact that they pretty much made themselves successful by aping Sega (DoA = Virtua Fighter, DOA Xtreme Volleyball = Beach Spikers). I think after Strider 2, it'll be a LONG time before we see Hiryu come back again.
