Well, Square's going in a different direction for this game, and I'm all for it.

Sounds good to me. Secret of Mana-ish multiplayer action rpg with combinable magic attacks? Very cool. The gba thing is kind of stupid, but not worrisome to me. I don't forsee a shortage of gba's around the tv in the near future. I'm looking forward to the game.

i really don't think they tried to go in a new direction.

im sure their requirements consisted of....
- GBA connectivity
- Final Fantast name

everything else is up to them from what i'd imagine. Nomura games are a whole other thing though.

I think that it will limit the game that you are required to have the GBA for multiplayer, but at the same time if it works really well I'll be happy...

I like how they use the GBA thing but that should be an option not a requirement, especially since each person would need a GBA to play multiplayer... that sucks IMO... but I guess no more then lan/linking play which requires 2 systems, 2 games and 2 TV's.

I wouldn't mind a Secret of Manaish ARPG, but the requirement of a GBA is kinda lame. I know quite a few people who wouldn't mind gearing up for a game of this. I know one person (me) who owns a GBA.
