Requiring a GBA for multiplayer is my only disappointment, but then again I never had any intention of playing this with other peole anyway.
I'm shocked you NEED a GBA for multiplayer, that alone will probably hinder sales. So this game is basically going to cost me 200 bucks, since I need the GBA to enjoy it to the fullest. But wait, it's four player, so if my friends want to join I'm going to need 2 more (one of my friends has a GBA), so this is bullshit.
I'm thinking about getting a GBA anyway, but even if I have one... I think it's unique and like it. But it's too expensive...

Right now, I have my doubts, but only time will tell how this game turns out. I've been disapointed with Square ever since FF8 though so I'll have to see some screen shots and video before I pass any more judgement on it.
Well, a used GBA is 50 bucks now, and quite frankly, no gamer should be without one :P Yeah, I think that is kind of lame, but meh
actually, the whole point of FundQ is to fund games that really stress the GBA/GameCube connectivity. and that's pretty much were all the money for GDS is coming from.Originally posted by Werewolf
I like how they use the GBA thing but that should be an option not a requirement
personally, i think Square could've done much better. and weren't they making a Crystal Chronicles for GBA? whatever happened to that?
anyways, i think Square should've bothered making a 1 player game, that used the GBA to expand gameplay. not just use it as a controller.
who knows though, maybe Square made a good one player game, and threw the multiplayer in as a really fun extra mode or something. although i doubt that's the case, Square doesn't seem smart enough to do something like that anymore.
sounds like ass.
ok, so yeah, turns out that the GBA is required for multiplayer, but only one. everyone else can use a GameCube controller.
oik, so that kind of changes everything then. given the sales of the gc vurses the gba, i think its pretty safe to assume that most people with a gchave a gba. Besides, i really dont play rpg's multiplayer anyhow; i level like a fiend ,and would put any co-player into a coma.

I had a ton of fun with this game at E3, and it's a great party game, imo. I prolly dropped by the FF:CC theater about 10 times during the 3 days. I'll have a copy of the game as soon as humanly possible.![]()
