  1. That trailer got me hard.

I kind of see it in the same way as Blade. Perhaps all these high budget flicks that have come out as of recent has dulled your outlook on these type of movies Green
Next year we'll see Hellboy, Spidey 2, and Punisher. Then you got non-established superhero flicks like The Incredibles and World of Tommorow. Then the year after will be overkill, Superman, Batman, Fantastic Four, for sure; X3, Hulk 2, Namor, Iron Man, Ghost Rider, Nick Fury, Daredevil 2 all possible that year as well. They're starting to all feel the same, and if some drastic changes aren't made then there could be a big backlash to superhero movies.

  3. Trailer looks bad-ass.

Only small gripe I have with it is how bright red Hellboy's skin is. It makes him look like a big walking toy or something. They should have made it look more weathered ,rough, and darker the way Mignola draws him.

On the other hand Abe Sapien looks fucking perfect - they couldnt have done him any better

Well okay here's how I look at it, they all have different feels to them and the only thing that ties them is that they are fantastical and are based on comics. I'm sure Marvel/DC's film ventures learned form Batman and Robin to not make crap like that so the quality control is tighter than it used to be so don't expect them to come out all at once.

I'm sure there will be other non-superhero movies to balance these few out.

For the movies themselves I think they will be different enough to enjoy.

Hellboy- Haven't read the books on it yet only some pieces but it looks damn good. Has a darker atmosphere but not TOO dark since Hellboy has such a cool personality. Special effects judging from the trailer look fantastic and not overdone in any fashion.

Spidey 2- I can't wait to see a Spidey vs Doctor Octopus battle as well as seeing how Peter Parker is doing at that stage of his life and juggling various things which has me excited. This movie was a HUGE hit and I think deserves a sequel or two to see how Spiderman handles villains I've always wanted to see on the big screen without bunching them together like the Batman films.

Punisher- This is loosely based on a Garth Ennis story in the comics of 'Welcome back Frank' which was fun and crazy and the film should be a dark, serious, more gritty movie in the same way Blade was. I still have my doubts but Garth has been on the set and says it should be good.

The Incredibles- Pixar is great, especially after Finding Nemo so it will be fun to see what they can do with the superhero concept.

World of Tomorrow- Haven't heard of it.

Superman- Don't expect this to be out for a while.

Everyone from Brendan Fraser to the 20 year old Matthew Bomer have been rumored for the role so there are so many wild reports and it doesn't even have a stable director let alone a cast or budget to make this a quick release.

Batman- Slowly but surely getting there. So far Christian Bale and Michael Caine are fine additions and they are still scouting to find villains and other characters. Fans and people interested alike are still in the dark about the other details but his one seems to be following its own way of interpreting the comics and staying more true to it than the other films Tim Burton has done(as much as I like them as well).

Fantastic Four- I'm eager to see this one just to see how they will pull it off as each of the four are special effects heavy especially the Thing and Human Torch. I'd love to see an on screen Dr. Doom too and just seeing the FF go into alternate dimensions, space and all that science fiction stuff sort of like Lost in Space. This movie is still a ways off, they are still working on the script and no casting has been announced until its finished.

X3- Quite a few actors have signed on for a 3rd or even 4th movie but other than that nothing concrete as of yet with no script yet and alot of the main actors doing other films. I'm sure Hugh Jackman will sign or has signed to do more since he's really the only guy I see as Wolverine anymore, not to mention he owes a good bit to the part. This is my favorite franchise so I definitely want to see other villains and mutants pop up in other movies.

Hulk 2- I think Universal is touch and go with this one but they'll probably put a good amount of faith into a 2nd one since the first was subject to the rampant downloading.

Namor- I don't care too much about this one other than curious as to how they would approach it. I do buy his recently canceled comic book tthough -_-

Iron Man- Still in the process of re-writing scripts, has a good year or two to go.

Ghost Rider- Been in development hell for a long long time now. He would make an awesome visual at the least and Nic Cage has been interested in playing Johnny Blaze for a while.

Nick Fury-I didn't even know about this one.

Daredevil 2- I liked the first but I'm not sure at what point of development(if its even happening) it is in. I think Elektra will come before this and I don't care much for the Elektra character much.

I wouldn't worry about them oversaturating the movie business, I mean they're just movies so you could always just not go to see them or rent them when they are out on DVD.
