  1. So, is it known if there's an option to switch between normal graphics and OMG TEH KIDDIE yet? I actually kinda liked the old SD screenshots.

    I love Metroid 2, I've been playing it in anticipation. If you play it on the SP, you can add color even though it's a regular GB title. The default scheme actually has the right color scheme for her suit (red and yellow), I thought that was a pretty neat coincidence.

    That's not a coincidence. It was designed for the Super Gameboy as well, and the GBC and GBA color schemes for old GB games match the Super GB color schemes.

    Actually no, the Super GameBoy and GBC + GBA use completely different colour systems. And Metroid II wasn't designed for the SGB because it predates it by about 3 year; it's actually that the SGB was designed to detect Metroid II.

    Anyway, Metroid II on SGB has 4 colours, aqua (black) red (dark grey), yellow (light grey) and white (black). On GBC + GBA it has 8 colours, the background is shades of blue; while sprites are Red, Yellow, White and Black.

    The GBA + GBC are preprogrammed to detect practically all 1st party and most common 3rd party games; giving them suitable colors.

    It wasn't very portable, though... you couldn't really save all that often, and the Fat Boy was huge. I only really played it under my desk lamp
