Thread: Konami are a bunch of Bastards!

Nobody whined when the SNES version of Turtles in Time was 2P only. And who said anything about a 4P mode in the PS2 version? AFAIK, both versions are 2P only.

And FYI, there is no Xbox version.
Where the fuck do you come from?

Yes, there is an Xbox version, Virginia. It was announced at the Konami press conference today.

Also, they officially announced that all versions are only two players. The four player mode has officially been scrapped.

Another thing, Johnny. The SNES and Genesis were not as technologically advanced as the arcade units were. Are you possibly trying to tell me that the GCN, XBOX, and PS2 are not as advanced as those old arcade machines?

To top it all off, Leonardo is currently called Leonard.

  2. I'm not certain how this is proof that Konami is that closely tied with Sony.

The game is on all three platforms.

Konami is doing lots of stuff with Nintendo.

    MGS2 appeared on the Xbox.

My guess is they just couldn't get the 4-player mode working right. Don't lose sleep over it, kiddies.

Then why bother making the game if they can't do it? The turtles are a group of four, fighting at the same time. If Rouge Squadron 3 can have like 120 enemies, enemy A.I, your ship and your wingmen, laserblasts, and lighting, a simple game such as TMNT can't handle 4-players?

First of all, where I come from is of no concern to you. Mmm-kay?

Secondly, the Xbox version is news to me (since they only announced it for the PS2, GameCube and PC prior to that). I'll give you that one for now.

Thirdly, so all the versions are 2P now. So technically all versions are now the same? So why are you bitching about favorism. It's not like the PS2 isn't capable of multi-player (hint: multi-tap).

Fourthly, it's true that the SNES and Genesis are not the same consoles as the GameCube and PS2, but the new TMNT is not the same as Turtles in Time. Implementing multi-player co-op is a bitch when it comes to third-person 3D action games. As the designer of this game said, it's a bitch to fix the camera angle has that shows four players simultaneously. Be lucky that we even got a 2P Co-Op.

And finally, yes there's a bit of Engrish in the game as of right now, but it's nothing that couldn't be fixed in the final game.

In conclusion, you're accusation of Konami showing PS2-favorism is flawed and asinine.

  5. I think the game looks damn amazing

i am upset that there isnt 4 player action but the game still looks like its going to be insanely fun

    cant wait for it

they need to make it 4 player online

  6. how many of you who are complaining about lack of 4-player 'breaking' the game actually have 3 other people around enough to justify playing something in 4-player mode?

I know I play a lot of games solo, and I'm guessing that anyone who's losing sleep over this isn't thinking logically enough.

  7. They've said this game will have a VS mode for the fuck of it. Thats cool but I've never played a beat-em up with a good VS mode. Perhaps Konami can be the first to do it right...

I only have two controllers. I don't care.

Ditto. I don't invite many of my friends to my home, so I usually only play with my brother when it comes to 2P games. The lack of a 4P Mode isn't such a big deal to me.

funny... I don't recall camera problems in the arcade versions...

I dare someone attending E3 to go up to one of their programmers and say that. (I know I sure as hell would)
don't wanna tangle with you, I'd rather tangle with him.
I think I'm gonna bash his head in...
