In singleplayer games i prefer sitting on my couch infront of the tv..So i guess ill get the xbox versions.
PC
Xbox
I understand why a lot people say mouse and keyboard is the only way, cause it does make aiming a hole lot easier, but to me it's not any fun to point & click people to death. Xbox for me.

Goldeneye was built for a controler in an undesireable way IMO. You needed to use a freelook button and that is SO arcane even for its time. Goldeneye was nothing to its contemporarys while Halo I think can be even compared to PC games of its time. But I'm not even starting to care about the surely stupid debate that is rageing in this thread.Originally posted by Diplomatics
Halo isnt the only one with good controlls. Goldneye for N64 had great controlls for a console.
I'll play them on PC but wouldn't flinch at playing them on Xbox.

That's exactly what you do on the Xbox... did you not realize the mouse 'clicky thingy!' is a button? As is the thing you press on the Xbox? The only difference is preference.Originally posted by usagi

Also, I think one of the more enticing features of playing on the Xbox with some of these games is the fact that you get a good TV to look at while playing them, instead of a small monitor.

God is Rome
Seems that I'm getting a new PC at just the right time.
Screw you big black box!
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
You're officially out of your mind. Every single one of these games will look better on a decent PC then they will on Xbox.Originally posted by Chibi Nappa
That's just one of the reasons PC games are ugly as hell. PC games have a nasty "lowest common denominator" problem as well. Seriously, consoles only have the PS2 dragging them down. PC games have some guy in Montana running a 286 off a gas powered generator dragging them down. 1200 X 1600 resolution and fancy lighting doesn't do much for your looks when there's slightly under 500 polygons on the screen at once and everything is moving at 9 FPS.
Goldeneye only needed a freelook button if you were stupid enough to use default controls. Put that shit on Solitaire and look gets mapped to the analog stick, movement to the C buttons.Originally posted by Tracer

It's just that I couldn't really move my hand after an hour or two of playing =X

Oh. Well, guess I'm stupid. I take it back then :/Originally posted by Saint of Killers

I use the exact same controllstyle in both ge and halo, what is also known as "turokstyle"..It takes some time to get used to but once you get it it works like a charm.

How many games like goldeneye was there on pc when ge was released..non. Goldeneye was revolutinary, right up there with hl, wolfenstein and quake.
