Just because a description is somewhat accurate doesn't mean it's respectful. No one calls children "Underdevelops" or old people "Withereds."

As far as "political correctness" goes, I could care less what you call a bunch of river-hoppers. :P But it is annoying to see you claim some level of respect when your language implies the exact opposite.

Where does that definition mention animals? It is not my problem that you automatically think of animals when the two words "humane treatment" are used.
Does a "humane judge" preside over animal court then in your opinion?

I know what "humane" means, you condescending little shit. Again, denotation vs. connotation, plus the fact that any failed communication renders the intent behind it worthless (that is, if the reciever takes a message one way, then the original intent behind it isn't worth shit).

I'm not the only one who thinks of animals before humans when the words "humane treatment" are used. Humane treatment of animals may not be the meaning of "humane" but that's the context it's most often used in, thus the somewhat negative connotation when the word is used in reference to humans.

I don't know what on earth you majored in, but it sure as shit wasn't English or Communications. :P

If you increase security, they will find a way around it in the long run. Sure it is a tragedy that all those people died, but just because we put up a few more security guards, doesn't mean that we can keep stuff like this from happening. A poster saying "Please don't come in here if you don't live here" seems to be a better way of spending money.

Using your reasoning, if I called a convicted rapist, a rapist, I would be disrespecting them and it would be similar/same as calling a black person a nigger. Interesting logic you use.

Just because I used the words "humane treatment" earlier, you automatically jump to the conclusion that I think of these people as some sort of animal. Yet, another false assumption on your part.

You are right, I did not major in English or Communications, I wanted a job after graduation.
It is clear you never took a logic/critical thinking class, unless you slept through the entire semester.

The only reason why they crammed so many people into a stifling box is because its illegal to jump the border and they wanted to hide. With stricter security at the border, people would work even harder to conceal themselves... in fact I would hypothesize that horror stories like this would only INCREASE if the borders were tighter.
