E3: SNK vs. Capcom: Chaos video (updated 5-18-03)

Yes, SNK showed SNK vs. Capcom: Chaos today, and yes, I have video of it. It'll be posted, post-haste.

It was a small video that SNK introduced, roughly a minute long, and featured what looked to be the game intro, followed by some match-ups. The beginning has some scenes of Ryu and Kyo duking it our, with a style and animation similar to Last Blade 2. There's also a few flashes of Akuma and Mr. Karate. Maybe he's a boss...

Then it transitions to a few in-game bouts. Ryu looks like just what you would expect - a faithful rendition in the SNK 'style'; Kyo is in his old uniform without any new animations. There was no noticable addition or change in moves for either.

Next up is Ryo vs. Ken. Ken's sprite looks just right, and Ryo is just in reused KoF duds. No noticable move changes, but Ken's Shinryureppa super looks really cool. I'm a sucker for SNK's 'flame' animations.

Finally, there's a match between Tabasa and Earthquake. Since I've never played either in their own games, it was interesting to watch. Definately a breath of fresh air, considering how a good deal of the game's roster will be either from King of Fighters or Street Fighter.

Me? What do I have to do with it? Try using that little paper-clip thingie when you send e-mails and you want to include video or image files. Or maybe you want to describe the footage and I can recreate it in Claymation? Or maybe you can upload it to the server? How about that?
