Some of the segments in Dreams were really good, like the Crows one and the final one. Some weren't so interesting.
Ive not seem them back to back, but I thought Ran was much better. Seven Samurai is great stuff but I dont know, Ran seems a lot more heartfelt, sad, emotional, and brilliant.
But really this is like comparing the David to the Sistine Chapel though - there's really not much of a point, and it doesn't really matter a whole hell of a lot in the end.

I love the irony of someone with a Sonny Chiba avatar saying Dreams is a great movie.Originally posted by Ichabod

In other new Titus has aquired the rights to Citezen Kane.
Which is what gives it a green light to do whatever, but I'm not really sure why they're even bothering paying for the "Seven Samurai" name, since I don't think it's terribly popular among todays youth. They could've called it "samurai 20XX" and gotten about the same audience, for half the price.Originally posted by Technosphile
The game is (apparently) called Seven Samurai 20XX.

God is Rome
Sonny Chiba is the greatest mother-fucking space ninja of All Time.
Dreams and Rhapsody are both late Kurosawa treacle, I'll take his brilliant neo-noir over that foreign-invested sentimentalist stuff anyday. IMO Madadayo was probably his best work of the 90's (but that ain't sayin much)
Maybe not here, in the U.S., but we're not the only ones getting the game.Originally posted by Korly
