I voted for FFX. I find it superior in just about every category. Plus, I have more fond memories of stuff from that game than the others, although 6 is close, so it even has nostalgia going for it despite being the newest.
Like a good book or movie, FFX showed me things in a way I would have never imagined myself, and some things, even if it's just a certain animation or monster design, made a lasting impression. The overall artistic vision in X was extremely ambitious, and I think they pulled it off. I do wish the cast could have been larger, but it worked in this situation, since the production costs of even a single character are outrageous in X, and the story wove them in efficiently. It certainly had it's faults, as did the others, but it's the only one I'd consider playing again.
