don't think so. i need to bug their PR. thanks for reminding me.

after playing GGH i dunno how much sales potential it has. it sure is ... odd.

personally i enjoyed demikids and shining soul the best at their booth. though i'm more into natsume/neverland's cima than anything. viva la GBA!

    I have a modded ps2.

  4. That video was awesome, and even though I read the reasoning behind why they chose that punk music...it still really, really doesn't fit the feel of the game.

Hopefully it plays as good as it looks, is not another Hoshigami, and you can fast foward through some of those longer spells/attacks.

  5. Shining Soul is an awful game, I can't believe that it's being released.

I hope that Sony blocks a few of these games for their poor presentation, so that we get a bit of you know what.

You should have the choice to play without it.

The spells cannot be quickened in La Pucelle, but I don't know if it was changed for Disgaea. The geo streams and specials are what make these games fun, although streamed enclosures are difficult to set-up in La Pucelle. Occassionally my wife would catch a glimpse of me playing and would begin questioning me if she'd just seen pics of half-naked angels on-screen. "Sorry hon, I can't repeat that too easily."

Anyway, I expect the gameplay mechanics to be solid. I suspect you won't have to confirm every action, and the difficulty shouldn't be astronomical. I haven't played Hoshigami, but it wasn't made by Nippon Ichi, right?

What were the sales figures for the previous US megaten games BTW?

  7. Check out the Megaten thread.

  8. this looks incredible...

but then I love tactics games

So Disgaea is a new game in this La Pucelle(?) series, or it's a port of an already exsisting game?

It's made by the same developer, and supposedly many of the gameplay elements remain the same.

Okay, so according the ferricide's numbers in the Megaten thread, Persona:EP sold about 25000 whereas Hoshigami sold 32000. So, hmmm, I wonder why they chose to bring out Disgaea before SMT3. (I think there's little excuse for GoGoHypergrind, though.)
