I think that ad only sent a signal that something was definately sour about their 64-bit system.

KoA/Ultra's ads back in the old days were almost as retarded as their manuals. Just take a look at this Super C/Snake's Revenge featuring a FauxHussein-type that's supposed to be the non-character, Higharolla Kockamamie.

Renovation had a series of Gaiares ads featuring the self-proclaimed game master, Jamie Bunker, raving on that "Gaiares is No.1". Too lazy to find the scans now.

That Virtua Tennis ad pretty much takes the cake. That shit was just wrong. There were some super shitty ads for some 3rd party controllers durring the 16-Bit days that had the kids holding the pads while making really stupid faces. They were also half normal dorky kid on the right half of their body, and freaked out punk/goth dorky kid on the left half.
And how about those Renovation ads with that mulleted dork hawking Gaiares? Those sucked ass too.
