but...is it really a bad game? I'm kinda interested in picking this up - Shiny made it and I've liked their games before.

edit~After reading john's remarks, I think I answered my question.

No. Next to Dynasty Warriors 4, it's the best beatemup game out there right now. It's not the best game in the world, but it's still fun.

  4. Holy smokes, do you guys read the posts fully? I mentioned that David Perry said they will be releasing a special edition version in November, that is six months from now. That means that they'll actually finish the game properly and sell it again. You're paying for a beta.

That's actually pretty fucked up. In light of this news, anyone who shells out $50 for this game is pretty damn dumb.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

  6. What's really going to bake your noodle is when you realize Matrix Reloaded was delayed several months from release and the game was originally supposed to come out at the same time... so it would have had even less dev time than it shows now.

Exactly. Ill wait about six months before I give this a go.

Still, really, thats the best that Shiny could do. Its not like Infogrames would've tolerated a 6 month delay so they can clean up the game. In fact, considering what a mess this title was as recently as six, seven months ago, Im amazed they managed to get it to the point they did, and on four different platforms.

Hasn't this game been in dev for like four frigging years?

Not only that, but it uses a modified version of the Messiah engine so they didn't even need to code much of that when they started four years ago.

  10. The problems with the game's development are many. Like I said, "development hell". Lots of problems. I mean its not as if Shiny is incapable of making a good game, look at Sacrifice. Its just that Enter the Matrix was not meant to be, I suppose.
