Thread: Atari's Enter The Matrix Premieres as No. 1 Selling Video Game

    *Cough*....Shinobi.........*cough* =p

I like Shinobi but the same can be said of it.

  2. No. You can't compare The Matrix license to Shinobi's. If anything, people would expect a higher quality game than usual because of the name "Shinobi."

And even so, I would have liked the game whether or not it was called Shinobi. Gameplay is gameplay.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

Im not saying shinobi's gamelay is bad(i like it despite its flaws), but because it has the shinobi name it has a better chance of having its flaws overlooked. In that way it can be compared to EtM.

  4. Then you can say that about any licensed game.

But that's not even the point. People here are saying that it's good "for a Matrix game," meaning that they're happy that they're just getting a game based on The Matrix. This sort of makes sense because of the whole back story and all, but it's still a game, and it should be judged on it's gameplay.

Shinobi isn't relying on this, however. Shinobi is relying on the fact that past games in the series have been above average, hoping that this will attract people to the name. Two very different things.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

Either way they are both still relying on their names. And yes that can be said about any license. Movies, games, cartoons, anything that has had some sort of success in the past.

I actually would like the gameplay of Matrix even it it didn't involve the matrix world. It's not perfect but it is really fun to me at least.

What does blow is would be having a better version planned while releasing this, which is apperantly happanening. =/

  6. Better version= making of video included, from what I can tell so far. Not exactly sweeping reform in the gameplay, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Again, just to clarify, I bought a disc full of Matrix deleted scenes, that just happens to have a game in it. Since the game is kinda fun, that's just icing to me.

Was $50 a bit much for a new piece of merchandise with a few deleted scenes? Maybe. But some of you psychos are spending upwards of sixty bucks for an Ikaruga DVD that's completely in Japanese. But you're doing it because you love Ikaruga, and I'm doing it because I love The Matrix.

Cha-Ching, now everyone go back to playing your japanese dating sims and buying your game that you have to learn a second language just to play...
