Thread: Ticket writing frenzy in NYC

  1. This ticket giving spree is what keeps me from visiting NYC as much as I used to. I do not want to walk NYC and get ticketed for having a chain attatched to my belt loop. Right now, you can get ticketed for almost anything.

  2. The smoking rules are actually a good thing. Secondhand smoke is one of the most horrid odors.

As for being busted for sitting on milk crates or putting up flyers, that's petty. It's fucking bullshit like 1939 Germany or Big Brother.

That cop who busted the woman for being pregnant should be forced to spend a day in an "empathy belly" pregnancy simulator for his entire shift. Let us see how easy he'd find it to continue standing nonstop while waiting for a train. www.empathybelly.org/home.html

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

  3. My point is..yes he was the best mayor we ever had...but he still had some serious faults and we shouldnt forget that. Thats all.

I agree with your statement on the other mayors compared to him

It goes way further than that. Basic freedoms have a price tag now. Fucking bullshit.

It's a known fact though that cops aren't reliable when it comes to showing up in court and stuff, so if you fight the ticket there's a good chance you won't have to pay it. But it's still the principle of the matter.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

  5. If you think just sitting on a milk crate is bad..

    How about..

    1. getting a ticket for having those license plate holders
    2. blocking your own driveway
    3. unproperly tying up newspapers for recycling even tho the sanitation still picks them up (the city says use PLASTIC bags to recycle papers)..the last time i checked, plastic cant be recycled with papers
    4. feeding birds

Actually, the cop that gave her the ticket was a woman. Which makes it all the more suprising.

  7. If a cop tried to give me a ticket for sitting on a milk crate I would set his/her car on fire.

The worst part of this is, people were just starting to respect and admire law enforcement, now they are forced to do the dirty work of the city.

    For shame.
