Tell that to my three straight 100 save files.
It's one of my favorite games of all-time. The art style is still stunning, and it's still a fun game to play.

There's a reason you can't purchase recordings of crying babies set to classical music.

I'm glad to see that people hold YI in such high regard. Definitely one of my favorite SNES games, for sure.
It's all about the New York Islanders!!!
I've been playing this in RGB and it is awesome.
The bosses are really cool and clever, but WAY to easy. When Inside the frog, if you just stand in the center you won't get hit by a damn thing.
mebbe some of us get hit just to hear the baby cry......heheOriginally posted by padman
It has the greatest bosses ever.
The people who moan about Mario crying must be really shit players as they obviously keep getting hit all the time.
If the bosses were harder people would scream bloody murder when they were trying to 100% the level.

This is true. Get hit once and you've got no choice but to wait out the time limit in the company of that lung-popping ear-burster. All for another chance at -- weee! -- more of the same.Originally posted by padman

Bloody murder would have been a step up from what I was screaming.
According to Steve Kent's Ultimate History of Videogames, the heads at Nintendo actually denied the release of the original build of YI. They wanted the graphics to be more on par with DKC- which Miyamoto only had a limited role as a consultant (DK's ground pound move was his idea). Hence, the graphics were overhauled with that crayon/pastel look.
Miyamoto was a bit miffed about this and had even talked smack about DKC being a mediocre game.
As far as I'm concerned, YI is the greatest game of ALL TIME. Its the only perfect videogame I have ever played.
I thought I was the only one who enjoyed it.
Nice to see some people enjoyed this product.
