You'll get that money back into time with that plan.

  2. Wow, Chibs. That's some kind of devotion you've got for DDR.

  4. Here's a photo of the insides of the machine with the connection I'm using to hook the PS and PS2 up. The black box hanging from the Jamma harness comes courtesy of Matt. It takes SCART cables and strips the sync out.

Videos to come as soon as I find a place to upload them.

  5. Very cool.

I hope you didn't do anything super permanent to the Jamma stuff.

I'm not entirely sure, but if I'm not mistaken DDR software isn't THAT expensive and you may want to get some oneday.

I'll concur that shipping any cab is expensive. My Neo weighs something like 300 pounds and it cost me a small fortunte to ship it from Baltimore to Pittsburgh.

I'm surprised you didn't snap the axle on the Uhaul with a 1000 cab. I don't know, maybe they're designed to take that much weight.

To me, that doesn't look too bad for $1k or whatever you paid for it. Those metal pads alone for the PS1 go for about $600 apiece... plus you get all of the other fun stuff, too such as monitor.

Is that green board that's hanging out loose a gutted Playstation controller?

  7. Yup, the green board is a PS controller and nope, I didn't modify a single thing on the DDR machine itself. Everything is soldered onto a Jamma fingerboard for easy removal.

  8. You lucky bastard! I hate you! That's too cool! I want one

  9. Looks lovely and I don't even like DDR.

There's a Korean company that did just that. It's called Technomotion, and it sucks. Horribly. Even with only 4 arrows, there's still enough to challenge most... human players.
