If you ever go to an arcade to play... you will tire of the song VERY quickly.

What's wrong with it? The music? The step layouts? The difficulty? Or does the concept simple not work as well as one would think?
Pretty much everything. The library of songs is very limited... about 20 songs; and half of them were already on PUI.
When you play 8 arrow mode, all the arrow icons become incredibly small(to compensate for a small screen). And 8 arrow 2 player mode? Forget it.
There's another mode where it "switches" between the 3 modes(the arrow icons change during the song). It just serves as a nuisance because it lags every time it changes play modes.
Step patterns are okay... but they are really nothing special. The songs don't really make it all that better, anyway.

Eh, I have a friend here who is putting out a bit above $5000 for a Pop'n 10 machine once it hits.

Sad part is, if I had the cash, I'd do the same thing. *heh*

  3. Heh, great video. DDR is really weird. It's a weird concept but it's almost impossible not to be sucked into it. It's just as much of a spectator thing as it is a gaming one. I saw some kid playing who must have lived on the damn thing (I think it was a 5th Mix machine). They guy next to him must have been doing beginner because he was going fucking nuts on that machine and getting almost all perfects. It looked cool and stupid at the same time.
