David Goyer, who wrote all three installments of New Line Cinema's "Blade" franchise, will get his chance to direct with Blade III. Goyer and star Wesley Snipes haven't met to sign off on dates, but the studio expects to begin production in Vancouver this summer.
In the third installment of the franchise, Blade must reverse an apocalyptic event that threatens to bring Earth under the vampires' control.
Blade and its first sequel earned $277 million worldwide. Goyer is also writing Batman for Warner Bros. Pictures.
We know he can write, but can he direct? Something like this is a heavy undertaking. I really like Del Toro as a director. Very good dvd commentaries too.
This could end up either being very good or very bad. I thought both Blade movies were done perfect as is, but the writer could have some very good ideas. Although I didn't hate the new breed of vampires, they were a bit too far fetched for me. I hope 3 goes back to its roots and contains just vampires.
I posted this a while back. He is good screenwriter, but we will have to see, if he will do the directing duites right. Both Norrington and Del Toro did great jobs on previous Blade films, and I hope Blade 3 will follow the rule.
I liked Rippers from the Blade 2. They were a scary mutation, and quite deadly at that. We knew that regular vamps dont stand a chance against Blade, but rippers were tougher and faster, and gave Blade run for his money, especially final fight with Nomak.
I usually HATE wrestling moves, but their use in Blade 2 didnt bothered me a bit
WTF you talkign about Delta. Both ending battles kicked ass. Part one had amazing swordfighting sequence(especially knowing that one of the participants dont know martial arts), and Blade 2 fight off the wall brutal, and ass kicking. Sure it had some CGI enhancement, but Nomak was beating the crap of Blade, and Blade had to use find the way on how to defat him.
