It's really sad this game didn't reach as many people as it deserved to, it's rare when a 3D game is more intense than it's 2D predecessor.
Well, I really wish it was that good. Sure free moving camera is all good, but when your character moves faster than camera can follow, you get a problem, and thats what Shinobi unfortunately have. While DMC was somewhat hurt by the fixed camera, the action and challenge, especially on later levels was much more entertaining(to me, but I know many would be very eager to argue). I never had problems with Shinobi's lacking environments, but overpraising the camera system is too much.

But I agree with Johnny. Or at least a one hit Tate on Hiruko, even on Normal mode. C'mon, someone has to be able to do it. Although you may not be able to build up your Tate that high. I don't know. It would be cool as hell, though.
im on the lat boss int he game, 3 bosses with one hit(very maxed tate)

  3. Days one:

how the FUCK CAN YOU KILL THE LAST BOSS????????????? ....i managed to get him down to almost 20% but it only happend once during my endless tries. This guy is impposible, and worst of all he's too cheap, fighting him will only lead you to get deeply frustrated. As a matter of fact i threw my controller against the wall in frustration and nearly broke it(L2 came off)....i'm probably going to try to play it again tomorrow, and if i cant nail the bastard i'll just smash the shinobi CD into bits and pieces and throw it away in the garbage, that way i know i wont have to play the damn game and frustrate myself again!

    Day Two:

i just spent 6 hours trying to defeat the mother fucker and no use! i managed to charge my sword to the max several times but it's eaither the fucker is floating up in the air where there is no platform underneath him or he's casting a spell which makes him invinsible for a few seconds, and by then my tate is gone!

also, i think it would be alot more managble if the boss battle didnt have that dumb intro where u have to wait till he starts the real battle! i think it's done on purpose to get on our nerves!

i'm too tense, angry, aggitated and frustrated to even play this for one more time! this has gotten way beyond the fun factor, im gonna put the controller down and lived with the agonizing guilt of not being able to finish the game when im at the end of it! ...i know this is going to kill me from the inside, but im gonna have to live with it!

this game is one of the coolest i have ever played, too bad it has to end this way!

ok now im gonna have to go play Animal Crossing to cool my mood down! :kirby:

    Day Three:

now that i saw the video i'm gonna gave it another shot! *sigh*

  4. The camera in Shinobi is great. Since the camera reseting is the fastest snap back in any game ever, who cares if you have to push it more times? Doesn't really make a difference to be. It's responsive as hell and lets me do/see everything at high speeds. I think the camera system is pretty brilliant.

If you're having trouble against the last boss, just use the chicken pattern. You know how to dodge every attack right? Just try to dodge every attack and kill as many flags as you can and collect the life. Forget the tate and everything. Just keep worrying about your life until you get a clear cut chance to attack the boss. Then repeat. It might take a long time whittling him down but keep your life bar high and you got nothing to worry about.

I had more trouble against the blind guy than the last boss. That guy was hardcore and really cool to fight.

thanks i'll try that even though it's going to take forever! and yes im good at avoiding almost all attacks!

btw, i think i'll tate him to get 40%-50% of his energy then go for the chicken pattern like you said. Thanks for the tip!

and btw, i dont think i have any hair left on my head, i pulled every last one of them trying to beat this fucker!

That's pretty much what I did. My life bar came before everything else. You can't beat him if you're dead.

Despair: I can't say I really understand your gripes with the camera. You just put the camera where you want it to be, and then slash away. I never once found that the camera couldn't move as fast as my character.

IMHO, any camera system that gives you full control is the best kind out there (barring a case when cameras become advanced enough to always be in the right place at the right time). You can't blame the camera when you're the camera-man.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
