Thread: Igarashi Interview

  1. Igarashi Interview

Cool interview. I'm glad they're going for frame rate over graphics.

  3. The part about dubbing was funny. It never ceases to amaze me why they let people that don'tspeak english direct english dubs. It always comes out bad. Shenmue being the best example.

  4. I saw this a week ago. There's also interviews with Ayami Kojima and Michiru Yamane (which are linked to the IGA interview, but still).

Personally I think Igarashi gets too much flakk from the online CastleVania community. So what if he retconned Castlevania Legends? Big deal!

  5. I'm really happy with how this interview turned out--Igarashi can sometimes be somewhat reserved during Q&A sessions, but this time, he was in a great mood-- very candid.

  6. Yeah, really lengthy and informative answers.

  7. I loved the Ayami Kojima interview. She just seems so damn cool.

Shenmue has the best fucking voice acting of any game ever, fool.

Believe or not, some of the actors from the original original Resident Evil did voiceworks there. Namely Chris Redfield (Charlie was it?) as the narrator and Rebecca Chambers as that other flower girl (not Nozomi).

  10. Good interview Shane. I enoyed it alot even if I did find certain comments a bit odd.

The new EGM Castlevania content is awesome, I couldn't wait to see Ayami's art take on the new characters. I think they all look great and the screens of the game were uber-colorful and crisp despite some pixelation on the screen grabs. Love the re-design. I thought that Iga would have mentioned more of the DMC influence since some of the mechanics are obviously being borrowed from that game. EGM also said the music was "..stunning" so I'm hoping its on par with the SOTN music.

I'm still looking way forward to Lament though thanks to the EGM coverage.
