  2. Why is this game getting no coverage? It's coming out in less than a month, right? I want me some more pics.

Holy moly. I played Mario Golf and its my favorite on the GBC. Infact it was the only game I played on my GBC. I was praying to assorted Gods when I got my GBA that they would remake Mario Golf for it. Now I must please the Gods with a sacrifice of PGA Tour II for the Genesis.

Oh btw, I went and beat all the character Golfers in Mario Golf, I beat Mario and King Koopa, but one of the NPCs said it wasnt time to reveal that I was the new champion or such. Was that the end of the game? I couldnt find anything else left to do.

I guess I'll take a look at GameFAQs

  7. June is a long ways away. :/

  8. I remember when it was listed as Christmas release. I hope they've still got the Gamecube connectivity thing going for it, because when I was playing Mario Golf Gamecube all those months ago I was really looking forward to seeing what they did with it. No idea what the holdup is, but when a selling point of both games is being able to wire the two together for extra goodies it's usually best to put them out sometime within the same geologic era.

February 25, 2004 - As if packing the peripheral with a game that will end up selling over two million copies wasn't enough, Nintendo has revealed plans to bundles its Wireless Adapter link-up adapter with the Japanese version of Mario Golf GBA Tour (Advance Tour in America). The adapter included in Mario Golf will be the same as the device included with the recent Japanese Pokemon releases.

This information, as far as we know, applies only to Japan. Nintendo has not yet announced any such bundle for America.

In addition to this news, more details on the game itself are set to debut in the upcoming batch of Japanese magazines. Mario Golf makes the move to 3D in its Game Boy Advance debut, with courses being rendered in real time. Players will be able to try out numerous modes of play, including a story mode, a quick game mode and a multipalyer mode. Also included from the starting menu are options for "Status," "Options" and "Golf Dictionary." We'll let you figure what these latter modes are for.

The story mode focuses on raising players. If you select a male character as your in-game counterpart, you're given a female counterpart, and vice versa. You must raise your character and your partner. Characters that you've created and raised can be transferred to the Game Cube Mario Golf Toadstool Tour and be used for play in that version.

Connecting the two versions of the game together will also result in some new courses opening up in the GBA version. You'll also be able to apparently transfer spectator comments between from the GBA to the GCN.

Incidentally, the included Wireless Adapter is also required for opening up new features. When using the wireless adapter, the game will give you access to 16 clubs on top of the seven that you start off with. The game will also, apparently, include a way of making clubs.

Mario Golf GBA Tour hits Japan on 4/22 and America on 6/28. We'll be back with more shortly.

  10. Did anyone get the import?
