Mario Golf: Advance Tour

This game is just like the GBC one, which is a good thing (no reason for me to play the old one, which is one of my top 3 GB/c games, anymore). I've been playing the heck out of it. It's easier to win this one, but I think the game is the same difficulty as far as getting good scores go.

Never played a Mario Golf game before, but I enjoy the RPG style and depth of this one. Only complaint is in Doubles where your partner is a complete moron

So far put about 20 hrs in completing side quests and tourneys. Beat all of the regular Tourneys both Singles/Doubles and the Match play both Singles/Doubles. Now im about to enter the Mushroom Cup.

Also beat all of the side quests except for 3 (all 3 of these are a Bitch):

Links Approach Normal - Sink 2 out of 10 with a AW or SW in one shot with wind

Links Approach Hard- Sink 3 out of 10 with a AW or SW in one shot with wind

Elfs Short Course - Heavy wind very short distances, allowed one shot and one putt per hole. If your shot doesnt land on the greens (not even on the fringe) then you have to start over from the beginning


Any tips on the Links Approach would be appreciated.

Those are the exact same three I haven't done yet (the ESC one is in the GBC one, too, and it's also a pain in the butt since fringes aren't greens).

This game is too easy for me. I would be 10+ under par (-10). I would blow the computer away. Even in doubles. I love this game tho. Someone VS. me!!! I need a challenge.

It is easy.

But it is amazingly awesome.

I've only whupped the stuff at the Marion Club and the Palms tourney, but man, so tasty.

How many hole-in-ones have you guys gotten? I got 1 so far. Its Mushroom course, hole 1

Also, there seems to be a glitch/bug. I got an albatross (dont know what it means but I assume its an eagle that is not on the green. Anyways, I have one and if I remember correctly, I got an eagle from the fairway. But for some reason, when it takes its second shot, it keeps missing and next thing you know it..its gone from eagle, to birdie, to par, to +1 and than...it stops.

I'm pretty sure an albatross is obtained by making a 2 on a par 5.

I know, but eventually, you'll just want to go for the best scores possible. An albatross is a 3-under, like a 2 on a par 5. It's also referred to as a double eagle.
