Looking at it totally honestly, I wouldn't want a deluxe cab. They're heavier than hell, hard to move around, can only play dedicated software (usually) and expensive.
For me, my realistic set-up would probably be something like:
My Neo Cab (19", Slot 1...wouldn't mind upgrading to a higher slot but it doesn't bother me a lot).
A rotatable monitor on a 6 button Jamma cab.
and something like...
A fully restored Mortal Kombat II.
Also I'd need some pinball.
But 3 cabs is plenty, I'll just need plenty of hardware.
Lesseee... I'm fortunate enough to have most of what I want already. I have a big ol' Capcom cabinet and two Jaleco Ponies, one vertical and one horizontal. Here's the current top 5 in my heart:
Mr Driller G
The Outfoxies
3rd Strike
Brave Blade
Spin Master
Current Top Five played:
Progear
3rd Strike
Strikers 1999
Spin Master
Guwange
And here's the current top 3 neglected pile of shame type boards:
Mars Matrix
Alien vs Predator
Mark of the Wolves
Top three cabinets I think I want but will most likely never buy:
Discs of Tron
Super Hang On
Tempest cocktail table
And now a top five list of arcade boards that I'd pretty much buy on sight:
Diet GoGo!
NebulasRay
Dangun Feveron
DonPachi
Daraku Tenshi
RayForce
It's six then. Sue me
Since I just sort of collect and play, I can't see much reason to spend over $200 for any game or the hardware it runs on. So while there's a sizable list of stuff I'd like to get for Naomi and other recent hardware, I'm just gonna have to wait until all the exceedingly badass cheaper stuff comes my way. There's a ton of it out there so I've got my work cut out for me.
I'm also thinking of buildin' me a superdupergun. Just for testing of shop product purposes and those evenings when the homies come by and they either want to switch up boards every three minutes, or play a four player game.
